How ultrasonic fog is generated
Piezoelectric elements oscillate at ultrasonic frequency and atomize water into a visible aerosol. The resulting fog can be routed through hoses and wands to the point defined in the protocol. Output depends on the number and performance of the piezo devices, water level, temperature, electronics and airflow through the unit.

Water quality and operating discipline
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for approved water. Applied Physics specifies DI water, sterile water or WFI for current CRF platforms. Do not assume ordinary tap water is acceptable. Drain, dry and maintain the reservoir as instructed to reduce residue, biofilm and avoidable failures.
